This is just the introduction to let you know that it is a piece and it exists, and how to approach it.

This piece will tell you to do some things. You should follow these instructions as strictly as possible!

It will also leave some room for you to interpret things freely.

There will be decisions that you have to make along the way.

I ask that you allow yourself to make these decisions freely each time you come to play the piece. Never try to plan out your route through it.


The length of it is around about 6 minutes, but is somewhat variable. None of the pages should be dwelled upon for too long. Some pages have a lot of material on them. Where this is the case you should just choose a bit of the page and play that, rather than attempting to cover the whole thing. Each time you come to it your eye may be drawn to a different part of the page.

Do not try to be comprehensive in covering or reading all of the material. It is quite saturated in order that every time coming to it might uncover new paths.
